Biography

Julie Maley, Certified Nurse Practitioner, is a lifelong resident of Decatur. She graduated from MacArthur High School and Millikin University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Julie worked as a registered nurse at Decatur Memorial Hospital while furthering her education at Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. She graduated in May 2000 with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Track. This Nurse Practitioner program requires extensive clinical internships which were completed with a variety of local Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Julie has been trained in advanced assessment skills, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and prescribing of medications. Julie maintains board certification by the ANCC every five years as required. Julie has also worked in occupational health with employee health services and at a corporate medical facility. Dr. Raycraft has personally trained Julie in the specialty of Orthopaedics and has been working with him since 2003. Julie and her husband Derek have two daughters and enjoy spending family time with them.
